In this gripping game, SWAT officers find themselves walking a fine line between authorized and unauthorized use of weapons. Their first instinct is to issue a warning, offering suspects the chance to surrender peacefully. Firing without prior warning is seen as a breach of protocol, with consequences varying based on whether the suspect survives.
It can range from unauthorized force, which costs the player 5 valuable points, to deadly force, which carries a heftier penalty of 10 points, not to mention the hit to their score for not taking suspects alive. However, there are exceptions to this rule – shooting without warning is permitted when a suspect threatens a hostage or a fellow SWAT team member or opens fire themselves.
The responses from suspects are as diverse as they come: some may choose to go into hiding, plotting an ambush, while others might surrender immediately. There are those who'll make a run for it and others who will unleash a hail of bullets. And beware the crafty ones who pretend to surrender only to spring a deadly surprise or make a daring escape. Should a hostage fall victim to the chaos, the mission is declared a heart-wrenching failure.
